Facility Costs

VOCAL is very fortunate to have multiple facilities, each one serving a different purpose, and we strive to keep them clean and well-run. Our main campus is on a 24 acre piece of land, which holds two separate buildings. One is an 11,000 square foot facility that has 41 kennels and our administrative offices.  The second is a new building that allows us room to offer a spay/neuter service at lower cost. On SE 17th Street, we have our VOCAL East campus which is home to a cat adoption center. We have a warehouse were items for Project FEED are kept. Maintenance costs include internet, phone, fuel, electric, office supplies, cleaning supplies, and pest control.

Phone & Internet
Our internet and phone system costs us $1,812 per year. We utilize our phones to assist community members and help animals in need in our county.

We spend $700 annually on office supplies because our office is a busy place! We spend a lot of time returning phone calls and emails inquiring about animals available for adoption.

Cleaning Supplies
About $1,200 is spent annually on products used to keep our facility clean and sanitized.
4
Pest Control Service
For the safety and wellness of our animals, it is super important that we do everything we can to give them a bug free place to be. We spend $1,908 annually on pest control, which has been working well.
5
Electric
The electricity bill is a necessary one as we strive to provide our animals the life they deserve. VOCAL's electric bill is $6,000 annually.
6
Fuel
We spend $1,200 annually on fuel as there is always mowing to be done in Florida, Fuel is purchase from month to month to keep our facility well maintained.
